PASS- Nepal is a non-biased, nonprofit making, independent and non-government organization (NGO). It was established by a group of non-political, academic and professional people in 2002 AD with a great motivation to work in the local regions, especially in Karnali and Lumbini Province of the country for democracy, peace, human rights and governance, WASH, environmental conservation, sexual and reproductive health and rights, climate change adaptation, nutrition,Tuberculosis, HIV and AIDS, child protection, sustainable livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, emergency response, physical infrastructure construction and re-constriction for the area of community development and empowerment. PASS- Nepal is working on right-based approach including social and economic justice, peace, human rights, youth mobilization,democratic development, environment conservation, and community development. It works for thecompletion of peace, development and social justice through peoples’ meaningful participation and bottom-up approaches. In the years of armed conflict in Nepal, PASS- Nepal demonstrated proven quality and strength towards building a greater public defense of human rights, democracy and community empowerment. In the meantime, the organization has served as a front-line barrier along with other like-committed organizations in opposing the non-democratic rule and extensive problem of liberty in the community. It has worked under exceptionally difficult circumstances even in the most remote hilly regions of Nepal to protect and promote human rights and also to1 help attain peace, democracy, and sustainable development for the community.PASS-Nepal is comprised of energetic intellectuals and like-minded group of human rights defenders, gender experts, environment, agriculture and public health professional, peace educators, sociologists, social leaders, and trainers. The key activities includes planning and implementation, documentation, dissemination of information, communication, conduction of trainings, researchs, fact-findings, publication and policy advocacy for the establishment of social justice and sustainable development. PASS- Nepal has implemented projects in 12 districts (Salyan, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum Jumla, Humla, Dolpa, Kalikot Mugu, Surkhet, Rolpa and Dang) of Nepal with field offices dedicated to service deliverance of human rights, democracy, peace, and social justice, environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, community development, sexual and reproductive health andright, climate change adaptation, nutrition, HIV and AIDS, disaster risk reduction, and management thorough collaboration with the UNDP/SPDI, ADB, APPSP, ESAP/DANIDA, CCO/LDF,WINROCK International, GTZ/RPN, GTZ/PRASA, HEIFER nternational, AEPC, BCN-Nepal, Home Ministry, Youth Ministry, DDC, HO, Municipality, LGCDP, CLDP, SNV, UNDP, UNICEF, PSI Nepal, AMDA Nepal, NDC, MEDPA, FAO, AEI-Luxbember/WOREC Nepal, Fund Board and Ipas Nepal. Currently, PASS- Nepal is working on sexual and reproductive health and rights and climate change adaptation projects. PASS-Nepal is also planning to implement the human rights and governance, WASH, environmental conservation, nutrition, Tuberculosis, HIV and AIDS, child protection, sustainable livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, emergency response, physical infrastructure construction and re-constriction for the area of community development and empowerment. It has good networking with the local, provincial, federal government and international organizations. The organization is maintaining a formal working relationship with various national and international organizations, including relevant bodies of the United Nations UNICEF, SNV etc.
